How does the 90-day Pro Call upgrade work?

One payment gives the chosen call Pro features and room for up to 2,000 applications for 90 days. The 90 days start at payment, even for a draft. Each call can be upgraded once, unless that purchase is fully refunded. The upgrade cannot be paused, extended or moved to another call, and does not renew automatically.

After 90 days, Free features and application limits apply unless you have an active subscription. Your existing applications, notes and favorites remain available under the usual retention rules.

How many calls can I have open at once?

You always have three Free call slots. An individually upgraded call uses its own slot for 90 days, leaving those three available: one paid call plus three Free calls means four open calls; two paid calls means five. Pro and Studio subscriptions provide 10 or 100 base slots instead, plus individually paid calls, and make every call Pro. A paid slot belongs only to its upgraded call; closing or deleting it does not free a slot for another call. Drafts and closed calls do not use base slots.

When a call’s upgrade expires or is fully refunded, it uses a base slot again. When a subscription ends, the base allowance returns to three and calls without their own active upgrade become Free. Existing calls stay open even above the allowance. Publishing or reopening a call requires an available base slot or that call’s own active upgrade.

What happens when applications fill up?

Free allows up to 150 applications per call; active Pro access allows up to 2,000. At 80% of the limit, we notify you in your workspace and by email. At the limit, new applicants see a message instead of the form. The call stays open and all received applications remain visible.

You can upgrade after receiving applications without changing your form, photos, notes or favorites. Existing applications count toward the new limit, including archived and reported applications. Deleting an application frees a place. Limits do not reset each month. If Pro access ends and you already have 150 or more applications, the call cannot receive more until it has room or regains Pro access.

What does a selection page include?

The private selection page shows your current favorites’ photos, all their submitted answers and their contact details, including email addresses. Private organizer notes are never shared. Anyone with the link can view the page and download photos without an account. Share it only with people involved in the production.

You can set an expiry, replace the link or revoke it. The live page and Pro exports require an active Pro Call upgrade or subscription. Pro photo downloads are up to 2,048 px on the longest edge; Free downloads are up to 1,200 px. Downloaded copies cannot be recalled or updated by later changes in Castdesk.

How long are applications kept?

Applications, notes, favorites and bookmarks are kept for 12 months after a call closes, unless deleted earlier. That countdown starts only when the call closes. Reaching the application limit or losing Pro access does not close the call or start the countdown.

Buying Pro does not extend retention or restore deleted material. Applicants can withdraw their applications, which removes them from your review and live sharing. Copies you have already downloaded remain your responsibility.

Can I change or cancel my subscription?

Manage your subscription in Billing. Pro and Studio have the same features; Studio lets you keep more calls open at once. If you move from Pro to Studio and keep the same billing frequency, Polar charges the price difference for the rest of your paid period. The upgrade starts after successful payment. Downgrades and switches between monthly and yearly billing start at the next renewal.

Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep paid access until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, existing calls and received applications stay available, but Free limits apply and subscription-funded sharing and Pro exports end. Any separately purchased Pro Call upgrades and extra slots keep their own 90-day expiry dates. If a renewal payment fails, previously paying subscribers have seven days to update their payment method while Pro access continues.

Can I request a refund, and what happens afterward?

Email support about duplicate charges, billing errors or a service you paid for but did not receive. We may also refund unused purchases at our discretion. Applicable consumer withdrawal rights and Polar’s authority to issue refunds still apply. We do not offer an additional general money-back guarantee.

A partial refund keeps your access. A full refund removes only the access funded by that payment; other valid purchases still count. Existing calls stay open, even above the new allowance, and each call follows its current application limit. New publication or reopening requires capacity. Your applications, notes and favorites remain available. Refunding a Studio upgrade keeps any separately paid Pro subscription.

A subscription refund does not automatically cancel future renewals. Cancel separately in Billing or ask support for help.
